BOOK MARKET IN SLAVEYKOV SQUARE
Large book market with small stalls and books of all kinds in front of the public library.
In front of the public library, there is a large book market with small stalls and all kinds of books. The square is named after two Bulgarian writers and poets Petko and Pentcho Slavejkov (father and son). An original monument (the two of them sitting on a bench) was placed on this square in the spring of the year 2000. The sculptor Georgi Chapkunov is the author of this composition. The statue of Saint Sophia in front of the Department Store is another masterpiece of this sculptor.
