SOCIALIST ART MUSEUM
This park contains over 150 pieces of official art from the Communist era, rich in sculptures and paintings.
As a branch of the National Art Gallery, this 7,500m2 park, with a 550m2 hall, contains more than 150 pieces of official art from the communist era; rich in sculptures and paintings, one can see the bust of Lenin or scenes praising the merits of socialism. It was originally supposed to be called "Museum of Totalitarian Art", before a more neutral name was adopted. A bit surreal and very interesting for a Westerner, it deals with a past that was too quickly hidden in the rapid transition to democracy in Bulgaria.
