This is Sofia's oldest and liveliest women's market, both a market and a tourist attraction. Created in Ottoman times, it underwent a renovation in 2014 that did nothing to detract from its charm. In addition to its central covered area, there are numerous stalls and stores on either side, offering an abundance of fruit and vegetables, spices and honeys, meat, dairy products and flowers, as well as food pottery, traditional clothing and weaving.
