ROMAN TOMB (РИМСКА РИМСКА)
This tomb, located in the southeast of the city, boasts beautiful wall frescoes.
Situated to the south-east of the city, this tomb dating from the time of Theodosius I preserves beautiful mural frescoes from the 4th century. For a long time closed due to the fragility of the frescoes' conservation (geometric, human and animal figures, hunting scenes...), it is now accessible to the public again by making a request to the History Museum. The tomb is built out of bricks and became the first national monument of the Bulgarian culture in 1948.
