This building was built to honor the Russian and Romanian soldiers who died during the siege of the city. The chapel-mausoleum of St. George the Victorious symbolizes Pleven's gratitude to its liberators. Inside, in the cross-shaped room, you will discover icons made in the 19th century as well as three superb wall paintings. In the crypt lie the bones of the soldiers in whose honor the mausoleum was built.
