This beautiful Renaissance house, built in 1808, boasts a beautifully landscaped garden and houses a small woodcarving museum. The interior has been preserved as it was and boasts two wonderfully refined carved wood ceilings, the fruit of a contest between master and pupil for the hand of the Daskalov daughter, it is said. The museum traces the history of woodcarving techniques, highlighting the oldest of the schools, Tryavna.
