The writer Yordan Yovkov (1880-1937) was born and lived for several years in this beautiful house surrounded by parkland. As a schoolboy in Sofia, his literature teacher encouraged him to become a writer and poet. He moved with his family to Dobritch. In 1902, he published his first poem in the newspaper Saznanie. He is credited with 31 poems. Yordan Yovkov's personal and family objects, documents and literary works can be seen in this house museum.
