OSTRUSHA MOUND TEMPLE
The tumulus features interesting architecture crowned by a monolithic stone sarcophagus.
This 100 m² Thracian complex (Храм в могила Оструша) dates from the 4th century BC and served as a burial complex and temple before being ceremonially buried a century later. The tumulus features interesting architecture crowned by a monolithic stone sarcophagus, which was studied in 1993 and has since been exhibited under a shelter. A must-see on your visit to the town. It's a refreshing change from other historical remains and discoveries.
