ENIO BONCHEV DISTILLERY
Distillery where you can discover how oil is made and even take part in picking the petals.
It is the leader in the production of roses and related products in the country. Located in Tarnicheni, 25 km west of Kazanlak, you find its original distillery, one of the oldest in the region. Built in 1909 by Enio Bonchev, a merchant who studied in England and France, it developed around the sale of rose oil from the valley. Today, it is possible to visit the distillery and discover how the oil is made and even to participate in the petal picking at the end of May-beginning of June, without forgetting to stock up on products based on this essence in a long list dedicated to wellness and fragrances for the home and the body. The Enio Bonchev label is now committed to organic production and protection of biodiversity. The farm has a total of 160 hectares of rose and lavender cultivation and three distilleries in addition to the original one, the second having been built in 2001 and the other two in 2008. A success story! The Enio Bonchev house organizes tours for professionals of the sector with visits to the fields of roses and lavender, discovery of the history of this local culture, discovery of the processes of culture and distillation. An exciting and fragrant journey in the heart of the valley of roses in contact with its inhabitants to be done, of course, during the flowering. Ambassador of the valley of the roses, Enio Bonchev makes known the roses of Bulgaria throughout the world by taking part in many shows and exhibitions.
