Mosque featuring superb oriental frescoes and the mausoleum of Sihabeddin Pasha.
The Imaret mosque, a little less central and much smaller than the Friday mosque, is nevertheless beautiful. It is located near the pedestrian bridge that spans the Marista River. It was built in 1444-1445 using the same brick and stone layout as the great mosque. We discover inside the building of superb oriental frescos and the mausoleum of Sihabeddin Pacha, first governor of Plovdiv during the Ottoman period.
