ROMAN ODEON (ПЛОВДИВ-ПЛОВДИВ)
Theater built between the and centuries with an odeon.
Built between the 2nd and5th centuries, the ancient theater of Plovdiv had an odeon (place dedicated to the musical representations, a little smaller than the theater). It was restored by the Leventis Foundation. At the time of Philippopolis, it could accomodate 350 spectators and constituted the place of meeting of the municipal councillors of then. Hence its name at the time of "bouleuterion" (council room). Concerts are regularly programmed there in summer.
