This museum occupies a magnificent building in a wooded park. It was built in the 1920s by the local Turkish community in a three-storey, Central Asian style to house a religious school dedicated to Islam. Today, the building houses a museum with collections evoking the region's various settlements, from prehistoric man to Ottoman, Thracian, Roman, Byzantine and Bulgarian.
