This museum on the site where the miners worked evokes the city in the era of "everything for industry", when the Stalinist era made Pernik a showcase for the Bulgarian proletariat. The tours, often with commentary by former miners (in Bulgarian), are very interesting. A moving little altar with an Orthodox icon. However, the museum is sometimes closed out of season.
