Pretty mosque now housing a small archaeological exhibition.
Behind the municipal baths, this beautiful mosque (from its name in Cyrillic: Ахмед бей джамия), was built in 1531 partly on the ruins of Roman baths. In 1904 an earthquake destroyed its minaret. It is no longer in operation today but now houses a small archaeological exhibition. It has been classified as a monument of national importance in Bulgaria. A beautiful building to discover during your visit to Kyustendil.
