Women's convent founded in 1772, with beautiful icons painted by Dimitar Zograf.
Founded in 1772, this convent for women houses beautiful icons painted by Dimitar Zograf, brother of the famous Zahari Zograf who made the frescoes of the Virgin Mary, located at the front of the church. The icons in the iconostasis are said to be the work of their father, Hristo Dimitrov, considered the founder of the Samokov school of art. The monastery is still active, a nun can provide a free guided tour by reservation. Superb!
