Museum with a large part of its collection dedicated to the history of iron production in the city.
A double museum: ethnography and icons. Part of the collection is devoted to the history of local iron production. Among the exhibits is the samokov, an ironmonger's tool of the time, whose name means "one who forges by himself". Another remarkable collection is that of local embroideries and fabrics, particularly rich and colorful. On the second floor, an area is dedicated to the Samokov school of icon painting, a school of renown in Bulgaria and beyond.
