Bulgaria's biggest, oldest and chicest ski resort has 3 access points: Sitnyakovo, Markudjik and Yastrebetz. The resort opens from mid-December to mid-April, depending on snow conditions, but the best snow is in February and March. There are 58 km of pistes and 14 lifts. Ski passes available from the Gondola gondola, Hotel Rila, Borosport, at the foot of the Sitnyakovo and Yastrebets express chairlifts. The larger hotels often have their own ski schools and ski and snowboard rental stores.
