Sozopol's Museum of Archaeology exhibits ancient collections, including numerous ceramics. Located in the old town, it recounts the history of the site, from the end of the 6th millennium BC for archaeology and from the 17th to the 19th century for Christian art. On display is the alabaster casket containing the relics of St. John the Baptist unearthed during the 2010 excavations. These relics are now housed in the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius.
