Medieval church with beautiful icons dating from the and centuries, painted by artists of the Zograph school.
This medieval church was occupied by the Ottomans, before one of them, Selim Bey, converted to Christianity. Since then, a monastery has been established, after serious renovation and expansion in the nineteenth century. Inside are beautiful icons dating from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, painted by artists of the Zograph school. Every year on May 6, many pilgrims come to the monastery to celebrate St. George.
