Superb palace set in 80 hectares of seafront parkland.
This superb palace, begun in 1882 by Prince Alexander of Battenberg and completed by King Ferdinand in 1893, is set in 80 hectares of seafront parkland. The château is in the Louis XIII style, and features the original pediment of the Château de Saint-Cloud, which was transported from Paris stone by stone on the Orient Express. The guided tour includes the palace, park, chapel, royal greenhouses, wine cellar and the ruins of the Castrici fortress.
