YAYLATA ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESERVE (ЯЙЛАТА)
This troglodytic archaeological reserve was a place of worship and hermitage in ancient times.
Between Kaliakra and Kamen Bryag lies an astonishing troglodytic archaeological reserve on a sunken plateau by the sea. It was a place of worship and hermitage in ancient times. The site has also revealed traces of life as far back as the5th millennium B.C. These cliffs were home to around a hundred dwellings. One of them was occupied by monks and can be visited, along with a number of caves. Excavated tombs opposite the parking lot. A fantastic site.
