The Karja Kelder boasts the oldest pub in Tallinn. It all began with Georg Carl Pfaff, who brewed his first beer here in 1832, launching what was to become the Beer Club Revalia. The pub continued to operate, even during the Soviet era and the Gorbachev parenthesis, in spite of the relentless fight against the evils of alcohol and drinking establishments. Renovated in 2002, the Karja Kelder can now welcome customers in a warm and cheerful setting on concert evenings.
