HOUSE-MUSEUM OF STONE THE GREAT
Famous for having housed the Russian tsar Peter the Great and his wife Catherine when they visited Tallinn in the century.
This seemingly uninteresting house is famous for having housed the Russian Tsar Peter the Great and his wife Catherine when they visited Tallinn in the 18th century while waiting for the construction of the Kadriorg Palace to be completed. From 1714, they stayed here many times. The building became a museum in 1806. The premises are still furnished and decorated as they were in those days. Some of the Tsar's personal objects are also on display.
