HOUSE-MUSEUM OF STONE THE GREAT

This seemingly uninteresting house is famous for having housed the Russian Tsar Peter the Great and his wife Catherine when they visited Tallinn in the ^18th century while waiting for the construction of the Kadriorg Palace to be completed. From 1714, they stayed here many times. The building became a museum in 1806. The premises are still furnished and decorated as they were in those days. Some of the Tsar's personal objects are also on display.
