The Kadriorg Palace in Tallinn was the residence of the head of state in the 1930s.

Under Peter I, in 1718, the construction of the palace began, which was named Ekaterinenthal or Catherinenthal in honour of CatherineI. It is said that the tsar himself laid the foundation stones of the palace. In the 1930s, the Kadriorg Palace became the residence of the head of state. On the same level as the palace, on the other side of the flower garden, were the presidential offices built just before the Second World War; today they serve as the residence of the President of the Estonian Republic.

Transformé en musée, le bâtiment propose des œuvres essentiellement issus d'artistes baltes de qualité.
Mobilier et plafonds remarquables . Le tout dans un parc superbe où il fait bon traîner loin du bruit et de l'agitation urbaine

un charme fou
Déjà de l'extérieur ce château sera vous ravir, ses belles façades colorées lui donne un style très photogénique, il est situé dans un grand parc avec des allées qui mettent en valeur ce bâtiment, je m'imagine en saison avec un jardin entretenu et fleuri avec les fontaines en fonctionnement, ça doit être superbe. Sinon son intérieur est de toute beauté aussi, des bustes et plâtres, de grandes salles avec de beaux plafonds ornés, quelques meubles d'époque, un escalier d'apparat! des poêles en faïence...

mérite une visite
même si comme moi vous n'aviez pas le temps de visiter l’intérieur du palais, cela vaut le détour car vous pourrez voir librement le jardin qui est beau. A proximité, vous pouvez voir (de l'extérieur) le palais présidentiel

Superbe domaine, le petit Versaille d'Estonie. Ce palais un peu hors des sentiers battus vaut le détour. La visite du lieu et des jardins vaut la peine.
