The museum is dedicated to the period of German and Soviet occupation of Estonia, from 1939 to 1991. Funded by Estonian immigrants to the United States, it is a museum of civil society. The "Freedom Without Borders" exhibition looks at crimes against humanity, Estonians in the free world, life in Soviet Estonia, the restoration of independence and freedom. The tour is very well designed for children.

This small museum though its face has lots of very interesting documents, very well executed. Moreover, videos are available (in several languages), which brings you to the already many explanations.
Do not forget to go down to the basement where satues of the former Soviet leaders are exhibited...
Miss under any circumstances.
