MIKKEL MUSEUM
Museum housing foreign works of art: Chinese porcelain, Italian engravings, Flemish and Dutch paintings.
Opened in 1997, this small museum is named after the art collector Johannes Mikkel, who donated his extensive collection to it. It is a heterogeneous collection of foreign works of art, including Chinese porcelain, Flemish and Dutch paintings and Italian prints from the 14th to the 20th century. There is also beautiful porcelain from Sèvres, Copenhagen and Saint Petersburg, and many paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries, particularly by Dutch painters. Temporary exhibitions complete the museum.
