KGB PRISON MUSEUM (KGB KONGIDE MUUSEUM)
Tartu-based museum providing a good overview of the Estonian resistance movement and the crimes perpetrated by the communist regime.
The museum is located in the "grey house", which housed the centre of the KGB between 1940 and 1950 for southern Estonia. The prisons located in the basement of the building are now open to the public. The visit gives a good overview of the Estonian resistance movement as well as the crimes perpetrated by the communist regime (deportation operations, propaganda, camp objects...). A really interesting museum to better understand the history of the country!
