BEER MUSEUM
Museum located in the Malt Tower, featuring an exhibition on the history of beer brewing around the world and in Estonia.
The museum shows how Estonian beer A. Le Coq, Estonia's most popular beer, with 40 million liters produced annually. Tartu was the cradle of the Estonian beer industry. The museum opened on July1, 2003 to preserve the history of industrial beer brewing. The heart of the museum is the malt tower built on the A. Le Coq site in 1898. It exhibits over 2,000 objects and tells the story of beer brewing in Estonia and around the world, as well as beer culture from ancient Egypt to the present day.
