SULLY TREE
Lime tree, planted by Duke Sully and classified as a Remarkable Tree, serenely overlooking the town of Herment.
History remembers this lime tree planted in 1601 by the Duke of Sully as a tribute to the birth of Louis XIII, son of Henri IV. From the top of its 31 meters, this lime tree is today classified Remarkable Tree and overhangs serenely the small commune of Herment. You should not hesitate to get as close as possible to fully appreciate the majesty of its hollow trunk and its soothing foliage. We like to spend some time in the square of Doctor Roux, to admire the tree and imagine what it could tell us from the top of its four centuries of existence.
