The best way to get to the island of Hiiumaa is to take the daily ferry from Rohuküla on the mainland (southwest of the town of Haapsalu) to Heltermaa (east of Hiiumaa). The journey takes 1 hour 30 minutes. The cost is around €5 per person and €17 for a vehicle. It's best to book in advance online, especially during the summer months!
