The Al Burgan adventure started in 1989, in a tiny workshop. Three women were employed there and had to share the only sewing machine. Their first item was a pair of slippers made of traditional fabric. Since then, the workshop has expanded and now employs about 20 people to supply the shop with cushion covers, bags, caftans and decorative items inspired by traditional Jordanian fabrics and patterns. In total, about a hundred women work from their homes to embroider the unique designs.
