The Grand Amman is none other than the former Meridien Hotel. It was recently taken over by the French group Accor and was undergoing a complete renovation when we visited in late 2021. However, it is likely that the lobby has retained its polished marble and the hotel will offer a range of services worthy of the great luxury establishments. Le Méridien had 282 rooms. The Grand Amman will thus be a huge caravanserai, essentially oriented towards a clientele of businessmen, since it is located in the Shmeisani district.
