Museum in old houses with or without mosaics, offering a fairly rich collection and relics: weapons, amphorae, etc
Installed in ancient houses, some of which have mosaics, this archaeological museum presents a rather rich collection. The most interesting mosaics show a naked satyr next to a bacchante dancing with cymbals and another shows a lamb next to a tree. The museum also houses archaeological remains (amphorae, weapons), as well as a section dedicated to Bedouin folklore and local crafts (carpets, chests, weapons).

Mais il est très bien ce musée !
Peu de touristes y passent. Madaba est un incontournable des cars de touristes chrétiens et l'on y croise beaucoup de monde... sauf dans le musée. Il y a pourtant de très belles pièces – mosaïques conservées in situ et certaines venant d'autres sites, mais pas que...

A faire si vous avez le temps
Nous avons visité le musée car nous logions à Madaba donc nous avions du temps. Petit musée dont le prix est inclus dans le pass jordan. Rien d’extraordinaire mais à faire si vous avez du temps.
