Wadi Rum Nomads is a local-owned and family-run company based in Rum village, in the heart of the protected area of the majestic Wadi Rum desert. The company is owned and managed by me, Fawaz Mohammad Al-Zalabieh. We offer our guests tours and overnight stays in our beautiful homeland, the Wadi Rum desert.
OUR TOURS
We provide jeep tours, hiking tours, camel rides, and trekking. The duration varies from a full day up to five days. To us, it is essential to provide our guests with an experience rather than an excursion. When exploring Wadi Rum with us, you can visit the famous sites or go off the beaten track for an authentic desert experience. We added some of our typical Bedouin customs to our tours. And in addition to that, we invite you to spend time chatting with us to learn from each other's cultures and see life from a different perspective. Lastly, exploring a unique place like Wadi Rum is also about slowing down, relaxing, and disconnecting from all the distractions of modern life so that you can live in the moment. We invite you to experience Wadi Rum Nomads' style and return home with desert memories for life.
WADI RUM BASE CAMP
Our charming, cozy, and comfortable camp is a traditional Bedouin camp located in a quiet and secluded spot in the heart of the protected area near Khazali canyon. It is the perfect place to rest, relax and enjoy after a day out in the desert. Our warm welcome, personal attention, and service will instantly make you and your fellow travelers feel at home. We can accommodate up to thirty guests in our camp. We have a communal tent, an outside sitting area, twelve sleeping tents (ten 2-person tents and two 5-person tents), and a shared bathroom.
OUR CAVE
The location of our 'cave' is a breathtaking, scenic, and quiet spot on the edge of the wilderness zone and Um Sabatah, where no camps are around. We call it a 'cave', but it is more an overhanging rock protecting us from the sun, rain, and wind. Although the 'cave' is well protected, we built a traditional low wall. The wall offers extra protection and gives a more secluded feeling. When you stay overnight in our 'cave', you will feel like you are the only living soul in the desert.
