This massive mountain marks the entrance to the Wadi Rum Protected Area. It is located just in front of the Visitors' Center. Seven pillars seem to stand out from the rock. Its name pays homage to T.E. Lawrence's book, "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom", which recounts in an autobiographical way his involvement with the Bedouin forces during the Great Arab Revolt of 1916. This mountain also reveals the two great geological periods that shaped Wadi Rum.
