Narrow canyon decorated on the walls with numerous inscriptions and petroglyphs left by the Nabataeans, Thamud and Arabs
The northern face of the Khazali jebel is lacerated by a deep gash that goes down for a hundred meters. Numerous inscriptions and petroglyphs adorn the walls of this narrow canyon, left by the Nabataeans, the Thamud and the Arabs. The most remarkable graffiti are the representations of soles of feet and humans with disproportionate hands. At the end of the canyon, basins for collecting rainwater were carved into the stone. These inscriptions were studied by the famous French graphic artist Savignac in 1932.
