ARUSHA DECLARATION MUSEUM
Museum in Arusha, a good place to learn about the history of Tanzania, from pre-colonization to independence.
It is located near the eponymous traffic circle (big torch). It summarizes Tanzania's entire history, including independence in 1961, and the Arusha speech by President Julius Nyerere in 1967, the nation's founder, who presented Ujamaa, an African socialist doctrine designed to develop the country's economy. Dusty and not very exciting, but informative for anyone interested in the history of Tanzania, from pre-colonization to independence.
