BUREAU ET CAMP TANAPA
Administrative office offering public camps in Arusha National Park.
The entrance to the park is to be paid with a Tanapa prepaid card that can be bought in an Exim bank or by credit card. Any exit is final and you will have to pay again to enter again. Hiking to the crater of Mount Meru is possible with an additional fee per person to be paid at the entrance. Tanapa runs several basic public camps with only toilets and a barbecue. These include the camps around Tululusia Hill (2km from Momella Gate), and the camp in the forest near Ngurdoto Gate. You must come fully equipped and with an armed ranger on foot.
