NDUTU SAFARI LODGE
Lodge at the southern tip of the Serengeti, popular with Serengeti enthusiasts for the passage of wildebeest and zebra from December to April-May.
Built in the 1960's by a great hunter, George Dove, this lodge is located at the southern tip of the Serengeti. The water for the showers is taken from the lake, the water for cooking is collected from the roofs. The lodge is very popular with Serengeti lovers, especially from December to April-May, when wildebeest, zebras, and predators follow them. The rest of the year, steenbok, rare duiker-like antelopes, and lions inhabit the area. Lakes Lagarja and Masek are nearby: beware of the risk of silting.
