Hotel located 1 km from the ferry terminal to Zanzibar, among the best value for money offered in Dar.

Just 1 km from the ferry terminal to Zanzibar, comfort remains rudimentary, cleanliness questionable and rooms dilapidated. Around forty rooms with hot water and air conditioning or fan. At this price, there's nothing else like it in the area. However, access is not easy. A dark, narrow passage leads to reception. The area can be dangerous at night, but warm and friendly during the day. So take a cab home. Internet café and wifi.

It's a very rundown and old hotel but I come back every time I stay in Dar. It's very cheap and the location is unbeatable for that price, very central and close to the ferry to Zanzibar. The staff is nice, breakfast is basic but good with fruits, juice and eggs (for an extra 2000), and there's lots of nice restaurants in the area. If you're on a small budget and don't have high expectations it's a good place.

Being in this hotel was good because there was free use of wifi and also laptop and everyone is so friendly

Lift is very important. which is not in it.

Passable.
The hotel is just old apartment with small smelly rooms. The AC is just for the sake to be on wall (non working).
Breakfast is just bread butter and banana.
