MATEMWE LODGE
The 12 bungalows of this hotel, built in natural materials, offer luxury but not noisy, authentic and quiet. They are installed above a large white sandy beach bordered by coconut trees, not far from a fishing village with its ngalawa (traditional boats). The hotel offers wholesale fishing, traditional fishing in ngalawa and diving (equipment rental, transport and, possibly, a teacher). At low tide, it is possible to walk to the reef. In August, whales can sometimes be observed a little offshore. The swimming pool is sublime. The restaurant, like all the bungalows, faces the turquoise waters of the ocean and offers a wide choice of fish and other excellent seafood products.
