The 22 spacious private villas, designed to accommodate up to 2 children, all face the azure ocean and are set in a garden that guarantees privacy. They harmoniously blend colonial furniture and Swahili arabesques. The Bembe restaurant is a fine dining experience, as is the Poa cocktail bar. Wonderful spa, sublime swimming pool and gym.

Located on a beautiful white sandy beach on the southeast coast of Zanzibar Island. Kisiwa on the Beach, an all-villa resort, is conveniently secluded near the charming village of Paje, just a 45-minute drive from Zanzibar airport.
Kisiwa on the Beach offers guests well-appointed private villas, specially designed to provide the best possible sea views. They are nestled amidst tropical gardens and white powder beaches. The hotel offers you the opportunity to experience barefoot luxury in all its glory.
The property is tastefully decorated with handmade wooden furniture and soft fabrics that capture the tranquil colors of the ocean, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings to create an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere.

Paje is well known for its beautiful beaches, extraordinary diving and snorkeling and water sports. The warm Indian Ocean provides ideal conditions for tropical marine life along coral reefs, rocks and shipwrecks, making it a perfect place for diving and snorkeling. Extreme low tides expose small lagoons filled with starfish, sea urchins and small minnows, while high tide provides a wide open platform for surfing, kayaking and many other water sports. People from all over the world travel to this idyllic destination to kite surf.
Sheltered by a long coral reef, Zanzibar's east coast is made up of gently sloping white sandy beaches that merge into the warm Indian Ocean. Inland, rare red colobus monkeys can be seen on the trail to the coral caves of Kiwengwa-Pongwe Forest, 20km from Stone Town.
Paje Beach is the perfect place to get away from the busier north and east coast of the island.
Nearby points of interest include Jambiani Beach, Jozani Forest Reserve, Kwale Island, Kizimkazi Beach and Paje Village. A walk through the village will give you a glimpse into the life of a local family.

The company's first venture, Kisiwa House, a luxury hotel, opened on November 1, 2010 after a major restoration of a prestigious building that has been owned by the same family for over 175 years, the property being one of the first buildings in Stone Town.

Rooms had coakroaches, fridge not working, and toilet and shower blocked.
Management says their “hands are tied” ??
I most certainly do not recommend this resort. Do your research before visiting this Island.
Die insgesamt 22 Villen sind nett eingerichtet, großzügig und sehr sauber.
Das gesamte Personal ist überaus höflich und bemüht.
Hervorzuheben ist die Ruhe, die schöne gepflegte Anlage u d vor allem das hervorragende Essen.
Die Bars und Restaurants sind fussläufig über den Strand in 10 Min. zu erreichen. Das Hotel verfügt über eine verlässliche und aufmerksame Hotel-Security.
Auf jeden Fall sehr zu empfehlen!

Good things: the staff are very kind and cute, everyone is friendly. Special thanks to the housekeeping team - outstanding job done. The waiters and waitresses are amazing, especially Viktor. They made my birthday memorable and it was fantastic. The food is nice as well. It is a half board, breakfast is always the same but you have enough meals to choose from and if you have a tour you can request for the breakfast on the go. Dinner was different-it was sometimes a small buffet, local food, Italian and etc. So it was enough definitely.
Overall I would recommend it to my friends, but definitely there should be some improvements. My advisor is to change a half board concept, maybe the hotel can get some sub boards or bicycles ???? for the guests to enjoy their time more and for free. Not all things have to be paid for.
