War vom 22. März bis zum 30 März im spice island Hotel. Es war traumhaft schön. Toller Service, tolles Essen, tolle Zimmer. Absolut empfehlenswert. War sehr ruhig, da Regenzeit war. Trotzdem tolle sonnige Tage gehabt.

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt im Spice Island Resort. Die Anlage liegt traumhaft direkt am Meer und durch den Privatstrand ist man abseits des Trubels des normalen Strandes, wo jeder einem was verkaufen möchte. Der 30m Pool lädt zum Verweilen ein. Genauso die Jetty Bar, welche auf einem Steg im Ozean liegt. Das Frühstück und Abendessen ist nach europäischen Standards toll und bietet abends immer ein neues 3-Gänge Menü.
Über Ebbe und Flut muss sich jeder Gast im Klaren sein, an der Rezeption wird immer über die aktuellen Zeiten informiert.

Schönes kleines Resort im Dschungel, etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Bitte keinen Luxus erwarten, dafür Natur pur. Es gibt einen schönen Jetti, ideal zum relaxen. Ebbe und Flut sind sehr stark hier.

Hôtel sympa, mais certainement plus un trois étoiles. Il faut pas s'attendre à du luxe. Toutes les chambres se valent à peu prêt. Service un peu lent, mais c'est normal en Tanzanie. Restaurant excellent et les prix sont corrects, faut juste changer le jus du petit-déjeuner.

Wunderschönes Resort direkt am Strand.
Wir waren 8 Nächte hier, nachdem wir auf Tansania Safari gemacht haben. Tolles und ruhiges Hotel. Das Personal ist immer freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Anlage ist gepflegt und sauber. Die Zimmer ebenfalls.

Die Lage ist super, man kann über den Steg direkt im Meer, hat viele Shops und Restaurants in direkter Nähe. Auch eine kleine und gute Tauchschule ist nur 100 m entfernt.

Das Essen war jedes Mal ein Highlight. Sehr abwechslungsreich, viel lokaler Fisch und interessante Varianten. Auch das Frühstück war reichhaltig, frisch und sehr gut.

Wir können das Resort mit besten Gewissen weiterempfehlen und würden es jederzeit wieder buchen

HORRIBLE ! Il y avais des insectes partout dans la chambre. La piscine n'est pas propre, plein de saletés qui flottes, sur les transat aussi il y a des insectes et parfois même des crustacés. Tu n'es jamais tranquille. La plage est pleine d'algues et de déchets.

2eme séjour à Zanzibar, extrêmement satisfait de ce petit resort à taille humaine. Le charme réside dans la simplicité et la sobriété, mais ce n’est pas au détriment du confort. Les repas sont de bonne qualité avec des produits locaux, bénéficiant du service all inclusive les alcools et coktails sont de qualité et non frelatés comment souvent dans ce type d’offre.

Mention spéciale à l’emplacement avec une magnifique jetée qui permet de se baigner à marée haute, et bien sûr à tout le personnel au petit soin !

Schönes kleines Hotel mit direktem Strandzugang und einem riesigen Pool. Auch die Küche hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Absolut empfehlenswert. Auf dem Steg kann man Cocktails und kleine Snacks genießen. Die Preise für alkoholische Cocktails sind bisschen überteuert.

The resort was amazing!!! What I really liked about it was the Spa services they offered.

I had the pleasure of having Paulina assist me with a pedicure that I needed badly after having climbed Mount Kilimanjaro!

She is very sweet and very professional! I would highly recommend Paulina for all of your spa needs! Thank you again Paulina! See you in 2024!!!!!

Spice Island Hotel Ressort in Zanzibar ist ein muss für alle Liebhaber die gerne gediegene, entspannte und in ruhiger Lage, Urlaub genießen wollen. Der Pool, der Schnee weiße Sandstrand sowie die herrliche Aussicht über die einzigartige beach lässt erahnen wie es sich anfühlt die Zeit stehen zu lassen und den Alltag zu Hause vergessen zu lassen. Es ist ein unbeschreiblich Fleck Erde der zu den schönsten seiner Art gehört.

This review is specially for Malaika Spa at Spice Island Resort . Between my husband & myself, we had 5 massages done. The service is amazing. Paulina, the spa manager, was kind enough to offer us discounts on our treatments. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable, the tea & chats with her were priceless. Her therapists Fatima & Zwena are also lovely. Do yourself a favour & book a massage at Malaika Spa. My favourite was the Ayurvedic Massage.

Pros: Gorgeous views! Friendly and professional staff. Malaika Spa was fantastic!!! Nice pool!
Cons; rooms were outdated. No screens in windows so you couldn't enjoy the ocean view without inviting bugs. Instead they sprayed the room with toxic bug spray every night so you're sealed in a closed room with all the chemicals. Yuck!! Hard mattress and pillows. Only get 1 litter is water and they charge for every extra bottle of water in your room so you have to ration when brushing teeth or pay extra.
Overall would not stay there again, but was OK if you're on a budget.

Great location if you like more peace and quiet, only 5 minutes into Paje or Jambiani.

The rooms are nice and are so well kept by the housekeeping who do a fantastic job. All of the staff at the hotel are friendly, welcoming and helpful.

The pool is amazing and there are plenty of loungers for guests.

I would stay here again????

The best thing of this hotel by far are the SPA center, the location and the Staff!
I would highly recommend anyone to get a facial with Paulina in the SPA, it was amazing, one of the best facial's I have ever gotten. She also does the eyebrows so well and completely painless, plus she is a lovely person. We also got the massage, which also we highly recommend!
The location of the hotel is beautiful, and the Staff is very friendly, mostly the reception managers.
On the other hand, we found that the rooms were outdated and that could have been more clean, which made our stay at times not so comfortable. The food is also one aspect that the hotel could improve. Personal recommendation, get the local dishes in the hotel's restaurant!
