This small local hotel is housed in a beautiful and cosy house with a terrace and garden and offers rooms with basic comforts such as mosquito nets, air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. The restaurant serves good Tanzanian cuisine with vegetarian options. The price is variable depending on the hot water option. We appreciate the welcome of Aidan, the owner, who is attentive to the service and has good plans to organize visits at a lower cost (rent a boat to Gombe or organize a day hike near Burundi).

The staff working here is very nice and friendly but doesn't speak good English and there is not much profesionality.
We had to change rooms cause 1st one didn't have a working shower. After check-in we had to ask for all basic things like towels, soap , toilet paper, none were in the room.
Hot water works a d toilet is OK. But mosquitoes net has many holes and electricity cuts are often. Breakfast is included but is not really something to our taste, spaghetti and kasava. Plus complimentary tea/ coffee during the day is nowhere to be found.For dinner the waiting time was 1h instead of 15minutes that were promised by the staff. We stored our luggage there for 2 days and found one bag in luggage room on the ground with our stuff all over , receptionist didn't care much.
The price you pay is cheap and good value for the money but there is definitely space for improvement!
