SAANANE ISLAND NATIONAL PARK
This Tanzanian national park located on the small island of Saanane has some zebras, impalas, wild cats and other monkeys...
This is the latest Tanzanian national park to open in 2013 next to Mwanza on the small island of Saanane (0.7 km²), which used to house a zoo. The idea: a mini day walking safari, complete with a picnic lunch, with the option to camp there at night. The park has some zebras, impalas, wildcats and other monkeys and above all many reptiles. The dry season (June-August) is the best time to visit this miniature national park, which is more like a theme park.
