Bel édifice. Très bien conservé et entretenu. Nombreuses mosaïques dans la cour. Venir tôt le matin pour éviter la foule qui gâche la sérénité de la visite.

ON ACCEDE A CETTE EGLISE PAR DES ESCALIERS EN TRAVERSANT UNE COUR REMPLI DE MOSAIQUES QUI REPRESENTENT DES SCENES BIBLIQUES. CETTE EGLISE EST CONSTRUITE AU DESSUS DE TRONCS DE PALMIERS QUI LA SOUTIENNENT COMME DES PILOTIS. CEUX CI DATENT DU 4EME SIECLE. L'INTERIEUR DE L'EGLISE EST MAGNIFIQUE. ON PEUT VOIT UNE CHAIRE EN MARBRE SOUTENUE PAR 13 PILIERS QUI REPRESENTENT JESUS ET SES APOTRES. LE PILIER NOIR EST CELUI DE JUDAS

Cette très belle église copte du Caire, située au dessus de vestiges babyloniens, se visite gratuitement. L'ambiance qui y règne est pleine de sérénité !
