Two mosques typical of the Nile Delta, with Turkish ceramic panels in the lznik style.
These two mosques built in the 16th and 17th centuries are typical of the mosques of the Nile Delta, as seen in Rachid (Rosetta) and the town of Fuwa. The decoration of their entrance door is made of red bricks, in the el-mangur style, which characterizes them. Inside, we note that the capitals of the columns are reused from ancient monuments. The Iznik-style panels of Turkish ceramics are typical of the Ottoman influence.
