CORNICHE
Go there and contact
A friendly, family-friendly stroll from the most modern part of town to the oldest.
Strolling along the Corniche is the number-one activity of the locals, especially in summer, when the humidity of the raging waves sticks clothes to skin that's already a little salty from the spray that leaps over the railings. It's a cruising spot, of course, but first and foremost a friendly family stroll. You move from the most modern part of the city, with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, to the most ancient, such as the ancient tombs, the Qaïtbay citadel, and in between, the remains of the 19th- and 20th-century city. A must to feel the soul of the city!
