Place Saad Zaghloul with Art Deco, Art Nouveau and neo-oriental buildings on either side.
Place Saad Zaghloul is where the eastbound (blue) and westbound (yellow) streetcars meet. On either side of the square, Art Deco, Art Nouveau and neo-oriental buildings form the backdrop. You can walk up rue Saad Zaghloul, soon crossed by rue Safeya Zaghloul. This is the district of old-fashioned restaurants and cafés, the Oriental patriarchates, the Cavafy Museum, the French Cultural Centre, the Central Station and, further on, Rue Attarine, home to the antique dealers.
