Four interesting and rare chapels dedicated to the god Bès, featuring beautiful bas-reliefs with some color.

3 km west of the oasis, four interesting chapels of the XXVIth dynasty, rare because dedicated to the god Bès. Few sites are dedicated to him yet he was highly appreciated and very popular. He was the protector of homes and births, but also a bon vivant genius associated with joy, dance and sensual pleasures... Very beautiful bas-reliefs still possessing some colours. They were part of a cult ensemble erected during the reign of Anasis (570-526).
